Who We Are

KYGT, affectionately known as "The Goat", is about music, rhythms and the Clear Creek County attitude: laid back and in tune with our community.

Our crew of volunteers love the station and what it stands for, care deeply about our community and do what we do for the pure fun of it. Our broadcasts reach far beyond our County boundaries; we are currently heard in over 30 countries. (Thank you, internet)

KYGT is community-owned, funded entirely through business sponsors, fundraising activities and an Intergovernmental Agreement with all the towns and districts within our county.

Our History

Our Style

Coming up with a synopsis of our musical style and the genre of music we play has always been simple. Everything goes, no rules...well almost no rules. Our volunteer DJs play what they feel, what they believe in and, gosh darn it, the greatest mix of music in the universe.

For Our Community

We’re happy to read public service announcements on just about any subject from non-profits or local governments.

Local sports announcer extraordinaire Pete Werlin broadcasts the action as it happens at high school athletic events. We proudly support the Clear Creek Library District’s Summer Reading Program.

We have the capability to broadcast emergency alerts for road closures, threatening weather conditions and forest fire information. There is also a dedicated line for the Sheriff’s Department to take over the broadcast in case of an emergency.
