Close Up of Jerry Fabyanic

An avid hiker, skier, runner, and climber, I have lived in Colorado since 1976 and in Clear Creek since 1995.

I am a student of Joseph Campbell and subscribe to his ideas on mythology. As such, I serve as a Joseph Campbell Foundation Round Table Discussion leader for the Colorado Rocky Mountain region. You can get more information about what's happening at the Joseph Campbell Round Table of Colorado at the Joseph Campbell Foundation website.

Western Exposure, focusing on issues including politics, spirituality, and environment, is my bi-weekly show. It airs on alternate Saturdays at 3:00 and is repeated throughout the week. Check out the programming schedule for specifics dates and times.

My bi-weekly column appears in the Clear Creek Courant. You can find my published articles and more by visiting my Western Exposure website.

I also host The Week in Clear Creek , a news hour that reports on local news as well as the latest on the environemental front, on alternate Wednesdays from 5:00 to 6:00 during the spring and summer months. Local guests discuss issues relevant to Clear Creek County such as noxious weed identification and control, open space news, with regular reports from the US Forest Service.

My "dawg" Knox was my old companion. A chocolate lab, Knox climbed over twelve 14'ers--mountains over 14,000'. He enjoyed taking a dip in Georgetown Lake or any other body of water we might come across.

Knox entered the Spirit Land on 24 September 2007 where he awaits his old friend's arrival in time.
